I think there could be a lot of improvements in timing. But I was not welcomed in the military so what do I know. I just know timing is everything and getting our fighters in the air seems to take too long.

Be careful what you reveal about people you know in the military, as you could put them in danger. (There’s a reason why photos with active soldiers are redacted to make them unrecognisable in the media)

I’m surprised that they’re surprised. They seem to assume that the Ukrainian pilots are untrained amateurs. They forget that they are professional trained jet fighter pilots that are qualifying for a new airframe. Their first assumption should be that it takes the same amount of time to move from a mig 29 to an f-16, as it takes for an f-16 pilot to move to an f-35. Of course we’re not talking battle tactics and procedures, or learning the systems in depth. We’re talking mere ability to fly a high performance jet.
